There are two variations for this position — legs in and legs out. For both positions slide the pouch around until the seam is under your belly button.

The ‘legs in’ position is ideal for newborn babies who prefer to be held upright. Fold their legs against their stomach similar to when they are swaddled and slide the baby into the pouch. Pull the outer fabric up high to support their head. For older babiesspread their legs around you inside the pouch and pull up the outer fabric up to support their back.

For legs out (6mths+), slide your baby through both layers of the fabric, stopping when their bottom reaches the top edge of
the pouch. Spread the pouch fabric apart, tucking the bottom fabric up under their knees and pull the outer fabric up over their
back to the base of their neck.
