• To get used to your pouch and new freedom, take a walk with your baby when you first put it on. Movement comforts babies and lets  them know that the pouch is a safe and fun place to be. It will not take long for your baby to be comfortable in a stationary position and the younger your baby when you start using your pouch the faster this will happen.
  • Once your baby is safely in the pouch, stretch the fabric across your back and shoulder to remove any bunching. This will make the pouch more comfortable to wear and eliminate any back or shoulder pain by distributing the weight more evenly.
  • The ‘Shoulder Flip’ can be used for giving smaller babies more support and making them more snug and also for older toddlers in the hip carry position when they can tend to lean back. To do this, fold the top layer of the pouch from near your neck over the cap of your shoulder.
